Our step up line in A/V Racks are the Timbre Racks.
Timbre Audio Video Racks offer real wood veneer finishes that are hand
picked for their unique and artistic grains. Extreme care goes into the finishing
of all Cambre Racks.
The shelf’s have also been engineered with ‘Acoustic Dampening
Grooves’ (ADG) into the undersides of the shelf’s surface. The grooves
are designed to eliminate resonances within the shelf’s resulting from
outside sources. When a Timbre Rack with ADG’s is playing music
from a component placed on its shelf, the improvement in sound quality
compared to an identical rack without the ADG’s is amazing, especially
in the treble. Everything was more clear.
In November of 2005, Cambre Canada conducted testing at the National Research Council (NRC) in Ottawa Canada, to identify exactly what is occurring in
our racks. Our tests concluded that the ADG’s improved the sound quality of the components placed on the racks. Cambre Canada has discovered a way to
minimize the standing waves surrounding the shelf’s. That is the reduction in the
large standing waves within the shelf’s themselves, that is caused by spreading out the number of frequencies that exhibit resonance, allows more music to be produced, without
the ‘muddying’ of the sound caused by larger, more distinct resonances acting between
the top and bottom faces of each shelf, the ADG’s effectively ‘smooth over’
the resonance, and producing more smooth detailed music.
The result is a direct improvement to the quality of music you are listening to.
Timbre rack’s upright support tubes and tie rods are all aluminum. The all aluminum design ensures lower resonance within the rack support structure, again enhancing the quality of sound from the components placed on the racks. |
